Catholic Bishop of Northern Alaska
If you or someone you know has experienced abuse by a member of the Church, employee, or volunteer, your first call should be to local law enforcement. If the abuse involves a minor child, it must also be reported to the Office of Children's Services. See below for additonal steps and contact information.
Victims of abuse are also strongly encouraged to contact Jocelyn Niedziela, Victim Assistance Coordinator. Victim Assistance Ministry exists to receive such reports, provide compassionate care and support, offer resources, and ensure that local law enforcement is informed. A report to the Victim Assistance Coordinator can be done by filling out the Abuse Incident Report found below, or by calling or emailing Jocelyn Niedziela, Victim Assistance Coordinator at (907) 374-9553 or [email protected].
The Catholic Bishop Abuse Reporting Service (CBAR) is open and reports may be made by calling (800) 276-1562 or visiting ReportBishopAbuse.org.
